Our Plans for 2024/25

YA Nights at St. Thomas
Many of our weekly events are YA Nights, and this year, they'll take place at St. Thomas in downtown Chilliwack. We've moved to a new location to make some more space for our growing community. These nights will include a brief period of time to chat and catch up, worship singing, prayer, Bible teaching and group discussions.

Community Groups
Community groups are a way to grow deeper with a consistent group of people throughout the year. Community group meetings happen in homes over a meal once each month on a Sunday night. Beyond the monthly meeting, the goal is that your community group would look out for each other providing prayer support, practical help and a listening ear on an ongoing basis.

Retreats
A few times a year, we set aside a weekend to seek God in community. Our next retreat is at Artist Point on Mount Baker from November 1-3. These weekends give us a chance to take a break from our regular routines and make space to worship, pray, rest, and enjoy one another's company.
-
Serve Nights
Each month, we dedicate one of our YA nights to serving our community. We want to love Chilliwack well. This year, we're adding a few new initiatives to our schedule. We are open to more ideas too. A good option for a serve night is an activity that we are sure will be a blessing, not a burden, is accessible for our whole group to participate in and answers the question "what would it look like to love Chilliwack well?" Our first serve night is a river cleanup on October 3rd.

Group Chats
Throughout the year, we host two group chats on WhatsApp. One is for Events & Opportunities, and the other is for Prayer & Support. Events & Opportunities is a place to plan a casual hangout, invite people to a community event, or let people know about a job opportunity. Prayer & Support is a place to ask for help, share an encouraging verse, or share stories of God's faithfulness.
Get in touch if you'd like to be added to them.

Hosting Team
This year, we're adding a hosting team. This is a team of volunteers who dedicate themselves to hospitality on YA Nights at St. Thomas. This team will be especially focused on making connections and bridging relationships as people arrive. We'll have a few evening sessions during the year to equip this team to serve.
